Hello my friends!Welcome back to another issue of P2P Snacks. At the end of the last issue, I PROMISED some sort of 3 back or 433 tactic. After a week+ worth of blood, sweat, & {mainly} tears, I’m here to deliver…one day late. I hope the wait is worth it for you. Before jumping into the tactic, I’ve got a bone to pick with FIFA 23. The way width works on this game is goofy. The low width settings are still fairly wide for wide-based formations such as 442, 433, 352, etc. This feels odd to me. I’d expect 1-10 width to be an absolute extreme, leaving YUGE gaps out wide, but the game doesn’t play that way. It’s taken me far too long to wrap my brain around this. For 24, I’d much prefer to see the extremes. If I select 100 width for my formation, I’d like to see players spaced out from one side of the pitch to the other in an extreme degree, and if I select 1 width I want my players basically acting like Moroccan attackers in extra time running into each other (quick shoutout to my untradeable Path to Glory Boufal - he’s a baller!). It is my belief that all good tactics have some level of inspiration from real soccer. Each year, I try to force a 433(2) or 433(5) reminiscent of Barca’s MSN glory years, and every year, I sort of succeed to some degree. Well my friends, the time has come. Let’s get jiggy with some 433(2) tactics that have me rolling through Elite division.
